If we are honest, some individuals drain the life out of us.
The nosey neighbor did not wake up and decide to be nosey. The annoying aunt did not set out to be annoying. The obnoxious co-worker did not choose to be obnoxious.
They are necessarily not trying to make our lives miserable. They just don’t think about it.
If they are not thinking about it, how much more do we not think about it in our own lives? Do you ever stop and ask yourself, “Are my actions damaging to this relationship?
In his famous sermon, the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus asks, “Can a blind person guide a blind person? Will not both fall in a pit?”
Before we start down the path of what is wrong in another person, we need to take a hard look at ourselves.
A great question to ask is, “What is it like to be on the other side of me?” What is it like to be in a relationship with you? This week take some time to work on yourself, and your loved ones will thank you for it.
